BIOGRAPHY
I'm a passionate photojournalist born in Lima, Peru, and currently based in Madrid, Spain. I studied photojournalism in Madrid and am now working as a freelance photographer, specializing in documentary photography and photojournalism.
Before delving into the world of photography, I worked as an architect, an experience that has significantly influenced my unique style and approach to visual storytelling.
Having being to China, Guatemala, Mexico, Poland and Morocco this has developed my passion for covering social issues as well as furthering my personal projects.As an experienced photo reporter, I have collaborated with prestigious international agencies, including Bloomberg, Demotix, and Corbis. My work has been featured in various digital and print publications, both in Peru and on a global scale, with contributions to renowned media such as The New York Times (USA), The Washington Post (USA), CNN (USA), Libération (France), El País (Spain), Nature (UK) and many others.
In recent years, I have also honed my skills as a filmmaker, covering events and creating corporate videos, founding the audiovisual production house : TILT Photo + Video (production house focused on documentary photography and video with a social approach).
I founded the Instagram account EverydayPeru as part of the EverydayProjects initiative. Additionally, I am an active member of the Diversify Photo community, supporting BIPOC and non-western photographers.
